I grew up on Whidbey Island and graduated from South Whidbey High School, followed by earning a Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College. After living in Olympia for almost 10 years, I returned to my hometown and started a family. My daughter is now a college student!
I have a background in the field of women’s health, and it has remained my lifelong passion even though I spent two decades primarily working as a professional gardener after I returned to Whidbey. Once my daughter reached her teen years I enrolled in the Port Townsend School of Massage as an accessible way to return to a field that focused on health and healing.
Starting with basic therapeutic massage for women* as the foundation of my practice (which I’ve termed “Wellness Massage”), I have continued to add specialties such as Certification in Advanced Prenatal & Postpartum Massage, Breast Care Massage, and restorative pelvic bodywork, as well as becoming a Certified Fertility Awareness Educator & Reproductive Health Educator. I love gathering these tools and weaving them together into a cohesive and unique practice. It brings me great joy to have the capacity to support my clients in so many ways, from weekly wellness massage to fertility support and menstrual health.
I live in a co-housing community with my two cats, Wynnie and Brie. I still enjoy gardening and working with plants, and am the coordinator for our community garden team. I love growing food & baking bread to share with my neighbors and family. In recent years I’ve also rediscovered my early love for Dungeons & Dragons and other role playing games, as well as a passion for fountain pens & ink, and am currently involved in creative projects linking both of these hobbies.
I look forward to working with you on your wellness journey. Let me know how I can be of service.
