I grew up on Whidbey Island and graduated from South Whidbey High School, followed by earning a Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College. After living in Olympia for almost 10 years, I returned to my hometown and started a family. My daughter is now a college student!
I have a background in the field of women’s health, and it has remained my lifelong passion even though I spent two decades primarily working as a professional gardener after I returned to Whidbey. Once my daughter reached her teen years I enrolled in the Port Townsend School of Massage as an accessible way to return to a field that focused on health and healing. Starting with basic therapeutic massage for women* as the foundation of my practice (which I’ve termed “Wellness Massage”), I have continued to add specialties such as The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®, Certification in Advanced Prenatal & Postpartum Massage, Breast Care Massage, and restorative pelvic bodywork, as well as becoming a Certified Fertility Awareness Educator & Reproductive Health Educator. I love gathering these tools and weaving them together into a cohesive and unique practice. It brings me great joy to have the capacity to support my clients in so many ways, from weekly wellness massage to fertility support. I live in a co-housing community with my two cats, Wynnie and Brie. I still enjoy gardening and working with plants, and am the coordinator for our community garden team. I love growing food & baking bread to share with my neighbors and family. In recent years I’ve also rediscovered my early love for Dungeons & Dragons and other role playing games, as well as a passion for fountain pens & ink, and am currently involved in creative projects linking both of these hobbies. I look forward to working with you on your wellness journey. Let me know how I can be of service. * Though I do specify "women" in my information and materials for overall identification purposes, I am queer-friendly, inclusive & welcoming of trans & nonbinary folx.
