Restorative Bodywork for Belly & Pelvis

What does Restorative Bodywork for Belly & Pelvis mean?
When I began training to become a bodyworker, it was because of my own healing journey with menstrual health, postpartum pelvic floor issues, and sacro-iliac joint pain. I went to massage school so that I could specialize in The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®, which I still include in my practice.

Along the way I've continued to study and train in other styles of work that also address issues in this core area of the body. Restorative Bodywork for the Belly & Pelvis is more of an integrated, loosely structured session rather than a specific protocol.

Clients seeking this work often have issues involving the abdomen, pelvic floor, bladder, tailbone or posterior pelvis.  This may include adhesions or scar tissue from abdominal surgery, pelvic floor tension/weakness, mild incontinence, tailbone pain, or sacro-iliac joint pain.  The first session can be 60 or 90 minutes long, depending on circumstances, and the length of follow-up sessions is flexible, depending on whether we stay focused entirely on the abdomen & pelvis, or integrate other areas of tension into the session. All of the work remains external and non-invasive.
